Amy’s Approach

A calm, practical approach to therapy and growth.

Anxiety often becomes much bigger than worry alone. Over time, it can affect decisions, relationships, school, work, routines, sports performance, and a person’s sense of independence.

Many people slowly begin organizing life around avoiding discomfort, uncertainty, mistakes, embarrassment, or fear. Avoidance may reduce anxiety in the short term, but it often allows fear to grow stronger over time.

Amy’s approach focuses on helping clients gradually build confidence through practical strategies, supportive guidance, and meaningful action. Therapy is not about eliminating every uncomfortable thought or feeling. It is about helping people respond differently so they can move forward more effectively.

“The goal is not perfection or constant comfort. The goal is helping people feel more capable, confident, and free to engage fully in their lives.”
When Support Helps

Many people appear outwardly “fine” while internally feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted. Therapy and coaching can help create a clearer, more manageable path forward.

Therapy & Coaching

Mental performance coaching for athletes and professionals.

Coaching is distinct from therapy

Mental performance coaching is designed for people who want to perform more consistently, handle pressure more effectively, improve confidence and focus, recover mentally from setbacks, and strengthen leadership and resilience.

Coaching and psychotherapy are distinct services, though many of the same skills that help people manage anxiety can also help them perform more effectively under stress and pressure.

Reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially when anxiety, stress, or pressure have been building for a long time. Therapy and coaching do not require having everything figured out first. Sometimes the most important step is simply beginning the conversation.
